New Year Resolutions and Reading 2026

Binding and Tethering in the world of Shadowfyre.   I have been following Shadowfyre for some time. Ononomad consistenly impresses me with how he can write complex ideas succinctly. I have a tendency to be a bit overly wordy (though I'm working on it). Why the article is succinct and nuanced, that is not why I gave it a sticker.   This article touches on stuff I've been working on for Scarterra. In my current long-term RPG campaign, spirit loas are becoming more and more plot relevant. Spirit loas represent a willing union of entities.   Scarterra has liches. They aren't a huge aspect of the lore, but they are there. They represent a more hostile and evil union of entities. I have been pondering a way to differentiate my liches from D&D liches.   This article at least has some gears in my head turning though whether it translates into a me creating a useful article remains to be seen.
