Breaking Free of Bending Spells

Some in-game effects have a key word "Mind Bending", "Body Bending" or "Soul Bending". Usually, these are part of powerful spells, but they can sometimes be apart of curses, monster special powers, or supernaturally augmented poisons.     Mind Bending effects are spells that interfere with a person's free will.     Body Bending effects are spells that interfere with a person's body's true form.     Soul Bending effects are spells that interfere with a person's True Name.     Very stubborn and tenacious characters can throw off bending curses but at a cost.     Throwing off a bending effect at ●●● or less inflicts one level of unsoakable Attribute Damage. Throwing off a ●●●● or ●●●●● level bending effect causes two levels unsoakable, unavoidable Attribute Damage   Throwing off a Mind Bending effect always inflicts Mental Attribute Damage. Throwing off a Body Bending effect always inflicts Physical Attriubte Damage. Throwing off a Soul Bending effect always inflicts Social Attribute Damage.     Attribute damage is really painful and violating. Most ordinary people lack the strength of will to willingly open themselves up to Attribute Damage, even if they never faced it before. Normally only PCs or PC-calibur NPCs can do this. Generally men and women with Willpower scores of ●●●●● or better.
