Personal history
Doman's grandfather, Erast was a knight of minor standing but respectable. Doman's father Fiszel was a courtier of minor standing but respectable serving as a steward in various courts.
Erast wanted Fiszel to be a knight but, but Fiszel was enamored with books and wanted a softer life. History repeated itself and Fiszel wanted his son to follow in his footsteps as a courtier but Doman wanted to be a warrior like his grandfather.
Fiszel pushed Doman into the Fumayan Masks, and Doman did okay with books and ledgers but the Masks recognized his athleticism and his desire to be a warrior and figured they could use a strong warrior.
Doman mostly paid lip service to Phidas' ideology and focused on the best warrior he could be as part of a personal code, not a spiritual one. Over time, Doman did grow to accept Phidas and he became anointed late in 1838. Doman was a relative late bloomer to theurgy, but a lot of late bloomers have popped up in Fumaya's Nonagon between 1837 and 1838.
Within a year had unlocked third circle Protection and first circle Divination .
