Lord Reese ap Gorisinod
House Gorisonad's motto is "Knowledge is power". They started as a house of academics but over the centuries morphed into a house of spies.
Reese kind of has a foot in both philosophical camps as he is the Gorisinod's best traveling detective. He is a skilled magical Diviner, but he is not completely reliant on magic to solve mysteries. He is very good at reading people and has excellent deductive reasoning skills. This lets him outwit criminals who overly rely on purely magical methods of espionage and counter-espionage.

Personal history
Reese was born to a land-less branch of the Gorisonad family. He became a Fang Warrior and was somewhat derided for his underwhelming combat prowess, but it was quickly discovered that he was very observant and had a great aptitude as an investigator.
He didn't solve every mystery put in front of him, but his track record for solving unsolvable mysteries was impressive, both within his family and without it.
Kormatin of the Dusk has been nicknamed, the "Scourge of Gorisonad". While Kormatin and Reese have never met, Reese was the first person in House Gorisonad to identify Kormatin's parentage and background and has been following in the wake of Kormatin's espionage actions.
Both before and after Kormatin emerged on the scene, Reese ended up butting heads with his extended Gorisonad family because he insisted on digging up the dirty laundry of the Gorisonads and not just the dirty laundry of the other houses.
Since the death of Gerallt the lich, Lord Reese has become very scarce to his enemies and allies alike, but it can be assumed he is investigating something.
Reese discovered that House Gorisonad's vassal house, House Selwyth was secretly hiding a Geralt the lich in Klarica County. So Reese anonymously sent Kormatin a tip-off as the the lich's location. Reese figured either Kormatin would slay Gerallt or visa versa. Either way, this removes a threat to House Gorisonad.
Kormatin ended up prevailing which Reese was pleased with. Short-term, Kormatin was the more obvious threat given his track record for killing Gorisonad spymasters, but Reese figured long-term Gerallt was the greater threat due to his growing insanity, poor decision making and potential for reputational damage.
Intellectual Characteristics
Reese is defined by his curiosity and thirst for the truth.
