Opening and Closing Locked Doors
Forcing open a locked door with brute force requires a Strength roll difficulty 6. The character’s mass has a large impact on this so characters with the Puny trait make this roll at difficulty 7.
One success is sufficient to force entry against the latched door of a typical cottage. A more solid door such as one secured by a bolt requires two or three successes. Teamwork can be applied at the storyteller’s discretion.
At the storytellers discretion battering down a door can require an extended roll with cumulative success representing damage to the door.
A botched roll causes the character to take an unsoakable level of bashing damage as her shoulder or leg takes the damage.
