Chronicles Timeline-issue
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
I've noticed that, when editing the Chronicle for my world's chronicle, that you can't edit how many eras it has. I'm stuck with the two eras you can set in your world settings (which doesn't work for me either, but that's besides the point). I'm stuck using the 4th timeline line on the chronicle to specify which era an event is in and then I have to do unneccesary maths in order to put the event in the right year.
The eras I speak of are like the Ages of Middle-Earth (First Age, Second Age, etc.). In my world I've got the Epoch of Spring, Epoch of Understanding, etc. The format of how the years are laid out doesn't work for worlds that have year counting that counts up and then reset at the beginning of a new age/era/epoch.
We need the option to set up how the timelines in the chronicles are divided up and calculate when we plunk events into it.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
Getting the option to break up the eras how we want will help neaten up the chronicles and give worldbuilders more control over the layout of their chronicle if their world has more than one era than a BC/AD world history.
What are other uses for this feature request?
I can't think of any other uses for this at this time. There might be, but wracking my brain brings up nothing.
