As it stands right now, there is only one map label text appearance that looks good, "Kadwa, Small, White". The rest are either way too big or don't look good. As such, all of the text on my map is the same size and color.
More font sizes and types and colors would allow me to differentiate between fonts for cities, forests, regions, etc.
Someone could use different text styles for all kinds of maps.
Create a custom HTML pin: <div class="text-style">Your text</div> Then create css; for the world: .text-style { text-align: center; font-family: your-google-gont-here; font-size 1rem } Pick something else for text-style as long as it's the same in both places (with the period before in the css. Player around withg sizes as you pleace. You can also set the color, background, and border of the text via css.
Yes to the more fonts part, HOWEVER you could have just said "I'd love to have more fonts for variability" instead of "most of the stuff that's already there is ugly". No reason to be impolite...
Good idea, but rather than say, I want "more" the WA team will probably want you to name specific things to ask for.
if I may suggest BlamBot.com who have a TON of free to use, royalty free fonts to choose from
