Position of embedded Family Tree character

What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?

Starting character will auto center in the middle of the embedded image box.

How does this feature request address the current situation?

When a family tree is embedded, whatever character is designated as the starting point, starts in the center of the image box. I have a few family trees that would actually fit within the confines of the box (without zoom adjustment), should the starting character be listed all the way at the top edge /center (or whatever side edge/center) .

What are other uses for this feature request?

Currently, we cannot fully display a family tree that contains polygamy without the use of tabs/arrow function. Bypassing by creating multiple embedded trees within a single article as I did with the wives of my emperor allows all the descendants to be displayed in a single article. Its much easier to reference character lineage to keep my manuscripts consistent. It will be even better if I didn't have to zoom in and out so much to look around on the trees.

Follow up

Hmm, maybe my trees aren't big enough to cause a lag, so I don't notice that. If that's the case, I wonder if a snapshot function would be nice add on, so as to capture sections of it to post as set images rather than as an interactive element. Since I really only use a family tree for manuscript reference, I don't need the interactive part, I just need to see specific sections and relations without having to spend too much time searching and moving things around.

The Team's Response

Thanks for the suggestion! We're closing this because it didn't get enough support for something that would take a significant amount of time and effort. We will, however, take a look at family trees to improve them in the future.
