When the timeline gets long, everytime you load the page it goes back to the first entry or closer to the starting year. If most of your events happen in the same year the page aways loads on the first event. Making the timelines harder to work using tablets because the user needs to keep one tab for each timeline isntead of being able to jump between them in the same tab. ( using the same tab breaks the flow because you need to scroll back everytime you change timelines or jump back from another page )
By letting the timelines page load optionaly by some extra criteria, the timelines page would be much easier to use on a single tab, enhancing the flow.
Some sugestions of loading criteria:
1. latest event created
2. specific event
3. precise date and time ( load closer to DD/MM/YYYY HH:MM isntead of only YYYY )
This is a really good idea, because my Year 0 -- let alone all the years before -- is NOT when my story events take place, it's just important world events. I haven't messed with timelines yet but I'm backing this requested feature; maybe you can set / reset a "sticky" year even?
You can already set a custom opening year in timeline settings. Did you want something more flexible?
Yes please! I could see this working similarly to how family trees automatically load to the family leader
