World-Management Customizing BBCode Custom-Field Functionality homepage public-view
What functionality is missing? What is unsatisfying with the current situation?
With the World Manager the addition of custom fields at Master is great, but I wish it could be utilized more, unfortunately anything put into those fields will appear above the widgets, which are a crucial, if not the most crucial, part of the homepage for navigation through our worlds. Having those fields is great for additional text, but like in my world I would love to include my calendar onto my world page, but the only place to put the BBCode into that does not end up with the calendar cropped is the very top field that spans the entire screen. That makes the calendar massive, and something that has to be scrolled pass to get to the main use of the homepage which again, I firmly believe is the widgets. Sorry to get so calendar focused, but those same issues would probably apply to adding other features like the tree organizers, timelines, maps, ect.
How does this feature request address the current situation?
This request would make the homepage more customizable without sacrificing aesthetics or functionality, which ultimately I hope is the entire purpose of the custom fields in the first place.
What are other uses for this feature request?
Unfortunately this request is more to add other uses for a previously existing feature so its kind of a one trick pony, but hopefully one that is simple and easy to add.
The Team's Response
Thanks for the suggestion! This is closed for now, but we're planning to make the homepage similar to category pages in functionality, including new text fields that you can easily move around. This would probably cover your suggestion.
