"Global" Fields for all articles in a specific category

I add a navigation table to all of my articles, as do many others. I'm also a frequent user of global fields, and I've been thinking that it would've been so handy if categories had a couple "global" fields of their own that automatically applied to every article in that category.   I think this is technically possible by putting all the content in the global fields and using category-specific classes or tags to hide them with css and only reveal the ones that are relevant. This seems inefficient, hard to update, and like it would make load times worse than they really have to be, especially in big worlds.   I think the most useful fields would be at the bottom of the article but above the navigation, for navigation tables (or navboxes) or the category table of contents. The top or bottom of the sidebar would also be a lovely place to put a category book cover, or (imagining that the category is about a country) an articleblock to the article about the country.   This would be a huge boon to people with multiverse or multipurpose worlds, but it would also let people set up a more specific footer or sidebar for specific content. For example, you could add an author profile and links to your manuscripts to your short story category, but focus on your game expertise and linking to your campaigns in the ttrpg category.

This could avoid so many "copy/paste" of text scattered in many nested articles!

Variables let us do something kinda like this, but you still have to make so many of them then go to the page to update them, and it is a whole hassle. Would much prefer to have a Global Field.   ESPECIALLY! IF you could have them layered.   An article under the category Towns which was in the category Settlements, would have both the Global Field for Settlements and Towns shown.

This would be SO helpful. I love making links to each of my sections index's on my folders, and being able to do it all at once would save me SO much time!!

The top of the article could also be useful for category-specific introductory information. I'm currently using the global article intro field for that.

I would love to be able to tailor messages to category. There are times I'd like to link to my GM stuff and times I'd rather link to a novel I'm writing. There isn't a clean and easy way to set this up.
