Analyze Magic

  This spell can be used to analyze a normal common spell, and that only takes a few minutes, but normally Detect Magic is all that's required. Analyze Magic is usually used to analyze Area spells which at a minimum requires the caster to make a slow walk around about half of the warded area. It is very common that Area spells are stacked on each other, and this makes analysis take longer as the caster has to mentally untie the various magical threads to figure out what everything is doing.   Performing magical analysis during combat or any other chaotic situation is much harder and is functionally impossible if the caster doesn't have formal training in Spellcraft.   Magical Items, Easiest/fastest to hardest/slowest to analyze:   (checklist for Game Masters to provide information)       Analyzing an Area spell or long-lasting regular spell, Easiest/fastest to hardest/slowest to analyze:   (checklist for Game Masters to provide information)  

While the spell is active, the caster's magical senses are so strong that they override his/her normal senses which is very distracting for most people.   Non-magical Perception and Dexterity rolls are all at +1 difficulty.
