Baron Fergus is the de facto ruler of Iron Hills Barony, often called the Big Man of Iron Hills.
A powerful warrior in his youth, old age has slowed him down a bit but he is charismatic and is well liked and respected by most of the Iron Hills Folk.
He does a good job keeping the Iron Hills reasonable safe and orderly. While he has a hundred men he can order around to enforc ehis will, he depends mostly on his cult of personaly to assert his will.
He is getting old and it's not clear who successor will be. He he has at least nine children from at least three different mothers and many adult grand children. He also has more than a few young men he has mentored over the years. Most of his potential heirs are competant and level headed but none of them are clearly superior leaders to the others and Fergus has not formaly or informally a named a successor.

He is tall and strong but beginning to show his age and slowing down a bit. Except for his great height, he is almost a perfect example of a stereotypical earthy elemental ethnicity

Personal history
Born to miners, early rough experiences in his youth forced him to learn combat skills. Being fairly big and strong in body and health, he became a fairly formidable quickly and with his natural charisma he became a mercenary captain working for several clients.
He briefly worked for the previous ruler of the Iron Hills Barony, but left after quickly deciding he was too cruel. Eventually Fergus helped lead the rebellion against the previous Baron of Iron Hills. He never sought the leadership position but he was given the position of Baron via popular acclaim.
