Seduction
Reducing seduction to dice rolls is a great relief for squeamish game masters who do not want to role play this out with close friends who are not that close and prefer to use an abstraction.
The first step is a witty exchange, Appearance + Subterfuge (difficulty, subjects Wits +3). A single interest indicates interest is piqued. Additional successes may lower the difficulty of subsequent rolls.
The next step is building a connection with flirting and witty repartee. Roll Wits + Subterfuge roll, difficulty subject’s Intelligence score +3. Failure indicates the subject departs, but on good terms, perhaps not romantically interested. On a botch, the subject takes offense at the character’s efforts and likely leaves angry.
The third and final stage is building an emotional connection by rolling Charisma + Empathy against a difficulty of the subject’s Perception +3. Success means the subject is enamored and willing to “become better acquainted”. Failure means there were no sparks, but efforts can be resumed at a later point at no penalty. A botch means their relationship is damaged irrevocably.
