Grey forest salt marshes
The Grey forest salt marshes forms the main border between the land of Codenya and the Grey Forest, mostly the Swynfaredian Grey Forest though it touches Uskala and Fumaya's borders briefly.
Because nobody really wants the resources and it's hard to build permanent structures here, it's a good neutral border area between wood elves and humans.
Localized Phenomena
The area is rumored to be haunted both by ghosts and exogenic undead among stranger things. Because the area is visited so seldom, it's hard to separate fact from fiction.
Climate
Temperate with hot summers and cold winters.
Fauna & Flora
The plants here are salt tolerant as are the fish and insects and the things that feed on the fish and insects.
Natural Resources
Salt is a valuable resource, but there aren't any good roads or navigable waterways, so it's not profitable to harvest salt from this area. The fishing and reagent foraging opportunity is not terrible but it's not normally worth trekking in swamps for.
History
According to legend, this area marks the first time and place during the Second Unmaking where the Void demons took serious losses which is why the area is so salty.
Tourism
The area doesn't have any resources worth fighting over. People who come here are usally either lost or are trying to disappear.
