Healing Powder

Healing powder is a less popular cousin to healing potions. Less popular because it is mroe expensive to make, bulkier, and has a lower shelf life.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

While both fill the same niche, healing powder is about 25% more expensive to manufacture in terms of reagents and it deteriorates a third faster.

"Healing potions are drank by the person to be healed, and healing powder is applied directly the wound. Most soldiers and adventurers prefer because healing potions are quicker to use, cheaper to buy, and easier to store, but I like to keep some healing powder on hand because they are situationally useful.   Physicians and peacetime physicians prefer healing powder or healing potions. If a patient is thrashing about in pain or is unconscious, it is possible but difficult to force feed them a potion, but it's easier to apply healing powder to the wound.
If a midwife needs to preform a cesarean delivery of a baby, having a pouch of healing powder makes the procedure a lot more survivable for the mother.   Healing powder is good for veterinary medicine because it is very hard to convince a wounded horse or any animal to drink a potion unless you magically enchant the animal first."
