House Dzielny

Most Border Barons are ruled by some form of a republic or an absolute monarch.   The ruler and founder of the Principality of Red Streams, Frydal Dzielny has loftier ambitions. He is hoping to establish a long lasting dynasty with formal feudalism and enough respectability to rub elbows with the nobles of larger kings east and wast of the World Seam Mountains.

Structure

Frydal Dzielny the Valiant intially took over as a conquering warlord, he didn't want to be just a warld forever. Very shortly after cementing his control over Red Streams, he created a royal charter placing limits on his legal authority and establishing a formal succession for his post and those of his vassals, loosely imitating the feudal laws in Fumaya and Kantoc.   House Dzielny is still alive, but he is very old and his son and heir apparent Detlef Dzielny the Dark has been running the realm in his father's name for many years.

Culture

Frydal encourages his family to be strong, stoic, honorable and chivalrous and tends to be a lot more formal than most other Borderlander humans.

Public Agenda

To defend and safeguard the people of the Principality of Red Streams

Foreign Relations

Detlef Dzielny has a duaghter who is betrothed to Baron Tacitus Wiern who is current ruler of Barony of Blue Peaks and an extension of the nobility of the Kingdom of Fumaya,   Frydal and Detlef would very much like to cement a marriage alliance with his lclostest neighboring nation and gain a semblance of political legitimacy in Fumaya and with Fumaya's allies, but right now Fumaya is locked in a war for it's very existence, so Detlef is stretching his daughter's betrothal out and is not going to schedule a marriage until he is reasonably certain Fumaya will win or at least survive their current war.
