Ifan is one of Count Rohdri ap Gruffyl many bastard children.
Ifan's mother eventually married a scabbard maker who was willing to accept a step son.
Ifan would have otherwise be an unremarkable apprentice leather worker were it not for his heterochromia and his sorcerery. The first spell he manifested was Detect Magic.
Rohdri tried to recruit him at roughly the same time Brigid and Kormatin tried to recruit him.
Brigid suggested that he could go with Brigid and Kormatin temporarily and come back to Rohdri later, and somewhat surprisingly Rohdri signed on to that plan. He gave Ifan ten gold pieces and a signet ring and wished him well. Ifan then traveled with Kormatin and company for most of Session 44
