A resource with an alternative or secret application
I am working on reading
all the responses to this prompt. My own entry was
personal reagents.
This is a very creative idea, using flower arrangements to hide in plain sight and send clandestine messages in public spaces.
Miracle silver is a very intriguing article. I like the way science was applied and how the people of the world had correct but incomplete understanding of sanitation with regards to medical procedures.
soap a simple article but well executed showing how soap is used and seen in a wide spectrum of society.
Dirinnium is a very creative concept that is well-executed. The article was visually well laid out too. I can see why this world has soo many followers.
I like that a flower can be processed to do so many benevolent and malevolent things, creating complex laws and attitudes around it.
The article is short and could use more detail, but it's a very intriguing concept to have engines powered by suffering left behind by "absent" villains now that people have to figure out what to do with. Can they be used for non-evil purposes?

My own piece for this prompt was
Faramund Fields. It got a positive response.
the ethereal plane Hardly the first fantasy writer to cover the aetherial plane but this was an evocative description that was efficiently presented.
For some reason I can't get the block link to work for this article with a preview of the header. It's a nice header.
a nice high fantasy barrier to entry that adventurers and villains may have to use as a short cut
Kind of blurring the lines between a fantasy swamp and a sci-fi swamp. I like the writing style. I'm giving his world a follow. Though at this point I can barely keep up with all my followed worlds.
A little wordy but overall good fantasy horror imagery throughout the article.
a glacier is an interesting take on a place peopel aren't supposed to go. And it's got a decent ecosystem of monsters
this is the most unique take on this prompt I've seen and it was a fun little story vignette to boot.
a nice urban legend-y lake well told
a well-protrayed haunted forest. An oldie but a goody.
