Sokirath the Ravager
Swynfaredia is a nation founded by dragons with an aristocracy descended from human-dragon hybrids that now mostly look human. Not too surprisingly, stories of heroic dragon slayers are not looked well upon. Unless the dragon being slain is Sokirath the Ravager.
Sokirath was a powerful dragon that attacked Kingdom of Swynfaredia when it was young. It took all four Founding Dragons working together to bring Sokirath down.
Allegedly, Sokirath found the idea of dragons laying with humans as repulsive. She slew three of the half-dragon descendants and wounded several others who barely managed to escape with their lives. Sokirath also slew (and allegedely eaten) hundreds of Swynfaredian peasants and definitely set fire to hundreds of homes and shops.
Sokirath was centuries older than the Founding Dragons. In a one-v-one fight she could have easily dominated all of them, but the Four Founding Dragons worked together to bring him, disguising themselves as half-dragons and luring Sokirath into an ambush.

In Rome, "Hannibal is at the gates" became a idiom "trouble is brewing" for many centuries. In Swynfaredia, the equivalent is "Sokirath is in the sky". Sokirath is used as a metaphor for evil, madness cannibalism.
Whenever Swynfaredians have to justify taking violent action against a dragon, they will say the dragon is a descendant of Sokirath or tie the dragon to Sokirath in some way.
History is written by the victors and the victors were the Founding Dragons. Many, especially who don't like the Kingdom of Swynfaredia , have openly speculated that Sokirath was not as bad as Swynfaredian historians made her out to be and that she really didn't have Man Eater's Madness. Some of have even gone as far to say the attacks on peasant villages were false flags done by the Founding Dragons and blamed on Sokirath.
