Lorisa's first mission on her own was something she considered a very exciting thing. She can finally prove herself to her party of not being extra weight and how she can legitimately contribute something. Standing in line, she awaiting the next assignment, though Colbert would cross her mind occasionally. Whatever he was doing, she would surely know one day. Or she would wake up. Either way, she was not too concerned. Her shoulders stiffened up as soon as Captain Codwell crossed into the room.

"Agents, your assignment this time is simple and life threatening. The agents in the party for the Midwest will be coming with me to handle the Rock Worms in the north before they go beyond our reach. Everyone else, you will be attacking the blood testing facility. Now that they have no way to fight without their Rock Worms or Daptive, we will have an opportunity to strike-" Sirens went off in the headquarters cutting him off mid sentence.

"You have got to be- Tanner!" Captain Codwell's eyebrows were furrowed and it was clear the man was in full rage.

"I see you..." The cackles of the maniac's voice pierced through the soul of every being in there.

"You don't know what we're planning!" Codwell barked into the air. If people had not have heard the voice themselves they would have thought the captain to be mad, for he treated as seriously as a heart attack.

Lorisa had not an idea of what to think. Her heart pounded too loudly in her ears for her to be able to have any train of thought. Not only could she hear the voice, but she could feel the presence. Behind her. Beside her. Above and below. Chills went down her spine and would not stop.

"I see you..."

"He's trying to trick us. Let's go, men!" He turned to the crowd and darted to the doors as the laughter grew and they began to see a purple haze.

And it was said. Lorisa followed her group and was ready for combat. If she could defeat one before, surely she could do it again. Boarding the T1 3000, they were ready to vanquish these creatures.

Two hours had passed by as they traveled through the night sky and one could begin to feel the frost of the air strike the metal when Agent Tex said to Codwell from the front of the aircraft, "Captain...this is not good..."

"My gosh." They were in awe of whatever it was they were watching, "The size of that thing is ridiculous."

As soon as they turned to the right, she was able to see what they were talking about and was in equal if not surpassed awe. A huge, ellaborate, black tower built like an old cathedral if it was the size of a mountain. She was utterly amazed until she saw a Rock Worm crawl through one of the windows and she knew it was going to be a long mission.

"Welp, you're not even the slightest bit nervous?" Zitro asked as he locked his weaponry in.

She scoffed, "No, I am just aware that I can't die."

"Wait, so you're immortal or something? Is that how you got in the resistance?"

"No, I'm dreaming."

"Huh-" He raise his eyebrows very fiercely and his eyes grown drastically.

"Anyhoo, we have a battle to win. We should focus, don't you think?"

"...Yeah. Sure...."

The battle against armies had began. Lorisa ran the battle as quickly as she could to get out of the chaos just for a moment. She was not a fighter and she knew that she had done enough pretending. She wanted to just go back to her small town, but she had not the courage to even get up the black wall she had pinned herself to.

While assessing the situation for a plan of execution, she could hear Zitro and Tex yell over the gun shots through the sky.

"Fire!" Tex shouted and a row of guns attached to the ground were all shot in order.

The sky was grey and cloudy from all the smoke and fire going on from fighting the creatures.

"Sir, we're running out of ammo!" Zitro shouted as he pulled out the cyber weapons.

"Then use the dagum staff. You're trained with it!"

"Eh, fair enough." The energetic young man was able to fight at least twenty now because he was no longer limited by what his eye could find.

Zitro jerked his head back, "If these things don't stop coming and fast, we're going to run out of magazines-"

"Just shut your mouth and stop talking to me like I can't do my job. Fire!"

An agent darted past the two and it took a moment before Lorisa could recognize him as Captain Codwell, wearing full battle armor and held a huge machine gun, fearlessly running into battle. She admire his bravery and it encouraged her to hide her fear for even just a moment.

Lorisa chased after Tex and did her best to not get hit. She almost tripped on a couple Daptive bodies as they crumbled into black dust on her way and she had to remind herself it was not actually real. The lack of a soul made her humanity feel less affected to some degree.

"Sir, why are we after this tower?" She yelled after the bang of violence.

"For goodness sake, just shoot whatever you see and if that doesn't work grab the staff, I don't have time to explain until we get these out of the way! Just stick with me and stay out of my  way!" Tex shouted as a Rock Worm busted out of the ground.

He shouted for them to fire and thousands of bullets were shot at this creature until it exploded in a black smoke as many of the others did. Much larger creatures than the Daptive, reaching about 8 feet high, flew through the air she had yet seen before. They were like a strange combination of a crow and bat, with the wings of a bat and the face of a crow. Not nearly as creepy as the others, but certainly just as terrifying to battle against.

"Phantom Fints. Ugh, I hate those things." Tex grunted as he took a magazine from his belt and reloaded his gun.

Many of these creatures were targeted mid air and the dust of smoke of their defeat would descend on the terrain, causing the aim of shooters to struggle. This did not seem like much of an issue, but Lorisa's stomach dropped as soon as she saw each holding a staff stolen from the resistance's helicopters. And hundreds emerged out of the skyline by the second.
