I completed my first Summer Camp. This month marks my one-year anniversary on WA. I was not sure what to expect for Summer Camp. I set what I thought to be a challenging goal - 24 - prompts. I actually managed to get 25 prompts answered, but after that nothing else came to mind. I will see what next year's prompts are.

This is my first Summer Camp. Next month, just before my birthday, I will have been on WA for a year. I am having a blast with these prompts.
The chase between the Smirnov twins on their M-9 Kestrels vs. Adi on her Ozymandias 6000 was one of my favorite scenes to write. It's a shame that the Smirnov's bikes were destroyed in the chase.

Published chapter 11 finally. I managed to get the first draft done and got some time to edit it. Originally, I wasn't sure I was going to work on my manuscripts, but then I realized that the Hitchhiker's Guide is limited to 2,000 words which is too easy for me. My original draft stands at 12,000+ words.
Last month what little writing time I get was consumed by Adventure April which took longer than I expected. This month most of my writing time has been consumed by the Hitchhiker's Guide to Chendiuria.

I've added a third ongoing story to my Augmented Valor world. I posted the first chapter. The new series is about a Latvian woman on an early cryostasis ark colony ship. She wakes up from cryo-sleep on a Mars Federation Navy Search and Rescue ship nearly 500 years later.

I've been busily adding my cyberpunk noir science fiction world here on WA. The Red Dragons are the largest criminal syndicate on Chendiuria. Aditi "Adi" Nizhóní Peshlakai , my former Colonial Fleet Marine Myrmidon MC, has delt with the Red Dragons in the past.
I'm looking forward to WorldEmber 2025 and plan to focus on geography. I've got quite a list of articles I want to write.
I'm doing really well with NovelEmber. I am currently at 31,742 words, and I am contemplating perhaps increasing the challenge to 100k words if I can figure out how to do that on PWA.
For the foreseeable future, I am posting a chapter each Sunday. I am alternating between two stories set in my Augmented Valor world. One story features Adi and Shadows of Eros; the other story takes place about 70 years before Adi's time.

So, this has been the biggest article project since the month's start and only finished. So, not a pace I can keep up if I want to finish World Ember. Plus, it was a bit of a grueling project going through all that information and detail. It was super useful, at least, when it comes to how I want to frame and develop things in the series of novellas I'm working on. On the plus side, this single article accounted for close to 30% of my monthly goal.

So far Sky and I have written 20 articles, and about 10k words combined! We've explored a bunch of the spacecraft, and the Inner World. We've been having a blast, and I hope you are too!

What did we write so far?
The banner you see above is from Nomads of Mercury. I also wrote about the humanoid species of Mercury, Mori and Kara. We've been all over the Solar System, taking a stop by Venus' Palace of Delights and their Godqueen Titania. Kind of like how the Humans get everywhere too. I wanted to focus on what interplanetary human migration might be like, and that also got us writing about some arceology. I wrote about the Heller Cave Paintings, while Sky wrote about the Othello Shaft-hole Axe Head. Sky's been zeroing in on spacecraft this Worldember, starting out with the watchful Aerie O-1, but also a couple classic spacecraft in the Cyklopes SSF-9 and Heretic GA-7. We get a satellite weapons system in Parelion Orbital Defender. Chatting spacecraft with Sky inspired me to write a couple of articles about conditions ships might suffer, inspiring the Cosmic Bloom and Paradisius. We've written a few supplementary articles as well; Voluntary Indication of Position, Rhea, Jupiter Stella, and Magnomight Systems.What's next?
Sky and I have been discussing and working out a lot of the political intrigue we want to set up on the different planets. It'll be great to explore some of the motivations of the Jovians, so we can better understand the threats Jupiter is beginning to pose to interplanetary peace.
