Lloyd (a.k.a. the Physician Mage)
Loyd the physician is a sorcerer from Swynfaredia who was born to House Selwyth, but he has long since renounced his Dragonblood status, instead working a fairly humble physician.
He relies on non-magical medical treatments most of the time, but he is a necromancer skilled in necromantic healing and he will break out healing magic when applicable.
His father may have turned to heinous acts unholy magic to cheat death, but Lloyd is a paragon of clean living and aging gracefully.

Initially ashamed of being a sorcerer, he has long become at peace with who he is and what he can do though he is not a flashy or flamboyent caster.
Lloyd is technically a fifth circle caster because he cast Necromantic Restoration though that is his only fifth circle spell. He all the arcane necromancy spells with healing applications. He even has a few non-benevolent necromancy though he is loathe to use them casually. He has cast Blindness more than once in self-defense.
He can cast Second Circle Divination spells and has one fourth circle Abjuration spell, Remove Curse.

Personal history
Lloyd was the first born son of Gerallt ap Selwyth. Though Lloyd only saw a tiny fraction of his father's numerous moral failing, Lloyd swore at a young age to be unlike his father as possible.
He ran away from home in his early twenties, partially to avoid an arranged marriage but he was already plotting his escape from Swynfaredia before his betrothal. He fled to Fumaya and eventually settled in Ivanna City, parleying his academic training in physiology intended to make him a good necromancer into becoming a physician though he struggled economically as he refused to use his magic or anything that felt too Swynfaredian, so he was a closet sorcerer.
A member of the Sabbatzarod Coven found him out and talked him out of the closet, encouraging him to use his magic for positive ends and also sponsoring access to some more formal medicinal training. With his magic and better training, Lloyd became a much better physician which improved his status and finances.
Morality & Philosophy
Lloyd became a healer as a sort of rebellion against what he viewed as an evil family legacy. But over time he came to the conclusion that he likes helping become because it feels good to do so, rebellion needn't enter the equation. And as he leaned into healing for the sake of altruism, he became more confident in viewing his sorcery as a useful tool rather than a shameful secret.

Contacts & Relations
Lloyd is a respected pillar of the community in Ivanna City. He often treats poorer patients at steep discounts or even for free.
Lloyd is a member of the Sabbatzarod Coven which has their headquarters a few miles from Ivanna City. A great many of the Coven members are part-time members, and Lloyd always fit that mold, even now moreso in his old age.
Lloyd keeps in touch with a few old friends from the Coven and he occasionally makes potions for them at a discounted rate to pay back the mentorship he received from the Coven. He has never taken on a magical apprentice himself.[/col
Family Ties
Lloyd is very aware that his father Gerallt ap Selwyth was an evil man, but he hasn't kept track of his father over the last several decades, so he is unaware that is father became a undead mockery of life and he is unaware that Gerallt died at the hands of an adventurer's blade.
Lloyd originally intending to stay a bachelor, believing his bloodline was cursed and wanting it to end with him, he changed his mind when he fell in love with one of his patients. They got married and had a bunch of ordinary non-sorcerous peasant children with boring and respectable jobs. None of his children or grandchildren have demonstrated any sorcerous ability, and he is perfectly fine with this. He is expecting the birth of his first great-grandchild soon.
