Tridal the Cyclops Sailor
Tridal is the first mate on the Imperial warship known as the Eye of the Empress.
The territory of the Elven Empire encompasses many non-elven subjects, including Cyclops Island. Many imperial warships or cargo ships have one or a two cyclopes on board but the Eye of the Empress is the only military warship with an entire cyclopes crew.

Physical Description
Body Features
Like most Lunatan cyclopes, Tridal is mostly watery with a pinch of earth, and maybe a tiny ember of fire though the fire rarely shows in Tridal ("except in my fighting spirit" he says).
Special abilities
Tridal is above average in physicality for a Lunatan cyclops, he is not among the very biggest and the strongest. His excellent reputation of a warrior is because he has brains and brawn. He wields his blades with more finesse than most other cyclopes.
He has good tactical instincts and manages to walk the fine line where he fights with courage and tenacity without being reckless and can show discretion without being cowardly making him a good leader.

Personal history
Tridal spent more of his life on board ships than on land.
He started a cabin boy at a young age and served on many different cargo vessels before his bravery against pirates and sea monsters earned him an invitation to join the Imperial Navy. He was part of the handpicked crew for the Eye of the Empress when the empress agreed to comission an all cyclopes run war crew.
Famously, the empress has given the crew formal written permission to eat any pirates who refuse to surrender...very few pirates refuse to surrender. Since the crew is paid a bounty for every pirate taken in alive, the cyclopes still get a to eat well either way.
Tridal is now considered one of, if not the, strongest living cyclopes warriors in the Elven Empire.

Tridal is fiercely loyal to his family, his crew, and his empress.
Tridal is a bit of adrenaline junky who eagerly engages in battle, but he won't engage in battle or prolong a battle when doing so would go against his duty.

Scarterran cyclopes are known to be silled warriors and skilled craftsmen. Lunatan cyclopes tend to split this along gender liens.
A common saying among the them is "women make the weapons, men the use the weapons". Tridal proudly refuses to fight with weapons that were not crafted by his wife or mother.
Tridal, like most of the crew of the Eye of the Empress, sail away from home for many months at a time, but they certainly make the most of their trips back home.
