Laurel the spirit loa
Laurel was one of the twenty-three spirit loas rescued by Kormatin from the evil clutches of House Selwyth.
She had a rough life even before being cruelly experimented on and simply wants safety and peace.

Personal history
Growing up in poverty forced Laurel into a life of prostitution. She found some clients had a kink for spirit loas and thus was publicly a spirit loa making her an easy target for Lady Raewen ap Selwyth's agents. Then was rescued along with the other spirit loas by Kormatin and his allies.
The oracle that the rescued spirit loas visited advised that Laurel see "the loa priestess in the land of the Lakes" which she and her allies believed meant Priestess Basia in the Tapukeah Gedalia Mera Bishopric.
