Duke Anatol Palbuc the Brash

Duke Anatol Palbuc (a.k.a. the Brash)

Anatol Palbuc was the first born son of Eduard Palbuc and his wife Princess Janah II Linijka eventually succeeding his father as duke in 1580 and serving as duke for twenty-three years before his natural death.   He was good at winning knightly tournaments in his youth and with a good head for tactics and logistics as he got older, but he was either unskilled or uninterested in rulership tasks outside of war and defense and he largely lacked in social graces. He was unpopular and disliked by his peers, the general populace and the Nonagon, but he never faced a serious challenge as duke, so the realm wasn't damaged by his rule.   Anatol had an arranged marriage in 1560 with a highborn woman whom he didn't get along with, but they produced more than enough heirs regardless.   He had three sons and three daughters.   Children born in 1561, 1565, 1568, 1571, 1575, 1579
