Originally, Zeta Gardner to make an action scene of a generic loa girl channeling a mighty ancestor to help her win a fight.
But since Spooktober 2026 Index Page isn't over yet, I thought I'd give her a name and a backstory. She is no longer a nameless loa girl, she is Milena the spirit loa and the spirit being channeled is her grandmother.

Personal history
Milena is the granddaughter of two successful, but mostly forgotten adventurers. Her grandfather Tibor was an expatriated Swynfaredian Dragonblood sorcerer and her grandmother was Katalin, aa Jórtoca warrior maiden. They were in the same adventurer party and fell in love with each other. They retired from adventuring after they found out they were expectant parents. They set themselves as yeomen and the lands passed to their son, Vadim.
Vadim was a good man, but he was not a celebrated adventurer. He was just a yeoman farmer and a member of the Zimoz militia that was never tested in a real battle. He married a Jórtoca woman and they had two children. Tibor the eldest and Milena was the second.
Tibor turned out to be a sorcerer and joined the Sabbatzarod Coven. Milena already had a bit of an inferiority complex towards her older brother who seemed better than her at everything. Now he inherited his grandfather's magic powers. Milena was just a socially awkward girl that creeped people out without trying and had weird dreams.
After King Henryk's Proclamation of Protection for Spirit Loas and all the tales of the influx of Swynfaredian refugee loas came to Fumayan settling in the Tapukeah Gedalia Bishopric , Milena connected the dots and deduced that she was probably a spirit loa too and didn't realize it before.
She traveled to the Gedalia Bishopric, and was able to confirm that she was indeed a spirit loa . With the help of several friendly sympathetic loas, Milena was able to get a grasp on her latent powers. She found she could channel her grandmother Katalin fairly easily who is now aggressively pushing her to train as a warrior maiden like herself. Pushy grandparents are the worst...especially when they can literally haunt your dreams.
