Beslyfle the gnome
Beslyfle the gnome is the highest ranking Tender in the land of Fumaya.
She got her position through her seniority and popularity with the younger Tenders.
She is renown as a kindly matronly gnome known for her wisdom and skill in both magical and mundane healing arts.
While like most Tenders, she abhors bloodshed, she does not want the Tenders to sit idle while Swynfaredia prepares to invade her beloved homeland.
She and most of her healers have begun setting up training schools to teach members of the Fumaya Armed Forces battlefield medicine.

Personal history
Beslyfle was a daughter of Mera-loving farmers and named after a famous Tapukeah, Beslyfle the Mother of Mercy, and delighted her parents when she joined the Fumayan Tenders in her adolescence.
Like many young Tenders, Beslyfle was pushed into herbalism and medicine studies in this hopes that this would result in her awakening healing theurgy. She excelled at her studies and awakened her theurgy as a young adult.
Beslyfle was not an adventurer per se, but she is not a complete stranger to the Dragons' Path. As a young adult, she did not hesitate to go into dangerous places when people were in need of medical care.
As she got older, she transitioned from healing people in the trenches toward teaching future generations of healers. Though she is famous enough of a healer that sick and injured people are brought to her. Because gnomes live so long and many of her students are human, she has trained generations of healers.
Beslyfle became of the Fumayan Tenders from general accliam because of her wisdom and years of loyal service to Mera.

Initially trained in medicine and herbalism, with or without magic, she is the most skilled healer in all of land of Fumaya and is a prolific maker of medicines and potions.
Over her long life Besylfle has picked up a lot of new lore both from reading academic tomes and by absorbing the knowledge of village wise men and wise women. With one foot in academia and the other in the folksy wisdom of rural villages has a wide breadth of knowleddge on many things. She is essentially a jack-of-all-trades and a Master of One, medicine.
Accomplishments & Achievements
Besylfle has no children as her own, but she has delivered hundreds of babies and likes to keep tabs on them later in life as much as she is able. She has healed thousands of sick and injured people.
If you factor in the healers she has trained, Beslyfle is indirectly responsible for someone being helped or healed almost every hour.
Failures & Embarrassments
Under Beslyfle's tenure as head of the Fumayan Tenders, their political influence has reduced.
The Fumayan Tenders have more temples and clergy than most of the rest of Fumaya's Nonagon except for Fumayan Guardians who just barely outnumber them, but the Fumayan Tenders do not wield much political influence in Fumaya's upper echelons because the King of Fumaya and his vassals believe that the Fumayan Tenders army of healers will continue to serve the realm regardless of what they do...and they're right.
Originally Beslyfle did not view playing politics as important but in recent years, Fumayan politics has become complicated, Beslyfe beileves she might have focused too much on churning out as many healers as she can, and not grooming more of next generation of Fumayan Tenders into being holy warriors or diplomats.
The realm does have some staunchly Mera worshipping warriors and diplomats but they are mostly self-taught or are aligned with the Fumayan Guardians or Fumayan Lanterns, and they mostly act of their own volition and don't report to Beslyfle for marching, usually only showing up to ask for more potions.

There is a stereotype that elderly gnomes are less diplomatic and more direct than young adults,, and this certainly applies to Beslyfle.
During formal ceremonies she adopts the persona of a stately matron and a benevolent healer but in informal settings she is not afraid to be blunt and sassy and can be very passive-aggressive when pushed.
