County of Grey Falls
The County of Grey Falls is named for a scenic waterfall rumored to house a connection to the Fair Folk. While the Grey Falls is pretty, it's not especially imporant.
Duchy of Zimoz is heavily wooded and sparsely populated. The County of Grey Falls is the least wooded and most densely populated province. It only makes up about a fifth of the Duchy's land area but makes up about a third of the duchy's population.
Demographics
About 90% humans with a mix of satyrs, gnomes, and tengku making up most of the remainder.
The humans are mostly Fumayan humans with a tiny of splash of Jórtoca blood mixed in.
Government
Feudalistic with patrimonial succession of hereditary titles. The Count of Grey Falls is a vassal to Duke of Zimoz, and in turn the Count of Gray Falls commands the loyalty of various barons.
Industry & Trade
The County of Grey Falls is the proverbial bread basket of Duchy of Zimoz. The rest of the realm is not exactly food poor, but their populations eat almost all the food they produce. Nearly all the food the duchy exports is from farms in Grey Falls.
Geography
Mostly flat with some rolling hills. A mix of farmland and woodlands leaning towards more farmland.
Climate
On the cooler side of temperate with wet springs, hot summers, and very cold winters.
Natural Resources
There is fairly decent timberland but the main resource here is its farmland. Flat land and decent soil with ample fresh water.
The lakes and streams are fairly plentiful in tasty fish.
