The northwest corner of Nerozik is somewhat sparsely populated due to the rugged terrain, but it is still more densely populated than its southern neighbor Southwest Nerozik
Granica County is the proverbial gateway between Fumaya and the Border Baronies Region.
Demographics
Granica County is roughly 90% humans with satyrs and gnomes competing for second place.
Over a fifth of the total population of Garnica County lives in the town of Pear Trout Valley.
Government
Relative to rest of the Kingdom of Fumaya and relative to most Scarterran feudalistic realms in general, the governance of Granica is fairly laissez-faire.
Industry & Trade
The realm is mostly self sufficient with regard to foodstuffs but they don't produce much surplus.
They have a few moderately productive mines and good reagent foarging options, but their main export is high quality timber including a Silverwood trees and other lower end but still sought after woods that make excellent building materials.
The region boasts some of the best carpenters and woodworkers in Fumaya, partially due to cultural diffusion from Borderlander humans.
History
Before Fumaya was established, this region was originally a somewhat more stable and prosperous extension of the Border Baronies Region before the Fumayans conquered/tamed the region. The Borderlands influence still left ia strong cultural impact. The people here are a bit more independent and anti-authoritarian than the rest of Fumaya.
Architecture
Thanks to their skilled carpenters and quality timber and rural settlements surrounded by relatively pristine wilderness makes this a very picturesque countryside for Granica County.
Geography
The topography is mostly rugged hills that get gradually smoother as one heads west.
Farmlands form large islands in a sea of forests and woodlands with lakes and ponds dotting the land periodically.

Temperate with hot summers, cold winters, and wet springs
Natural Resources
The region is overall rugged but it's got some flatter areas that make decent farmland and a fair amount of fresh water above and below ground. The realm has a few useful mines as well.
The main resource worth noting is the forests. The timber is high quality and the forests have above average opportunities ofr reagent foragers.
