“3!...2!…”. Suddenly, a large portion of the second floor ceiling bows sharply and collapses, hurtling one of its thick support beams into you and knocking all three of you to the floor at the top of the stairs covered in flaming debris. Simultaneously, as the briefest moment of cool morning air reaches the fires around you, the flames explode, roiling to the heavens and thrashing to consume it all; the stars, the cabin, and you, in their unrelenting hunger.
Fully engulfed in the blaze and pinned down by a crossbeam on your chest, the pain is so intense that your nerves cannot keep up as your face, fingers, forearms, and ankles go numb from the burns in the flash of flame. You scream from instinct, but barely let out a gasp.
“Dra’tesh! Are you okay?!”, Aeryna screams as the fire stabilizes.

A deep rumbling catches your attention. You painfully turn your head to see a series of small colorful explosions combust down the hallway as volatile ingredients begin to finally ignite in the alchemist’s lab.
“Bad question, sorry!” Aeryna shouts as she looks down the hallway and up to the newly made exit in the ceiling, “but, I’m not leaving you. It’s time to go!
She runs over to you and begins to lift the crossbeam off your chest just enough for you to get your arms underneath. Together, you use your remaining strength to get it off of you.
