The heat threatens all goods, moisture, and hope in this house. As you rush towards the library near the back of the home, hunching as much as your 6.5 ft tall Dragonborn body can, you struggle to keep your watering eyes open.

As you cross the threshold into library, you hear sounds of wood creaking and splintering all around you. The house doesn’t have much time left, yet this beautifully decorated room with its heirlooms, leather bound books, and even various paintings retains an austere posterity about it, appearing to face its mortality with a knowing certainty you’ve seen in the faces of too many fellow soldiers ordered to hold the line that are no longer among the living.

As you remember their final moments and witness the final moment of this room, you are determined to make your presence here count, but the smoke is making it harder to breathe and see by the second and knowing a nullpriest could be upon you soon means even trying to determine something worth saving could put you all in untold danger.

You open your burlap bag and prepare to balance saving anything that looks relevant with not looking too closely at what it is you’re saving.
