Barony of the Schnocneg Plains
The Schnocneg Plains are in terms of land, the largest barony in the land of Fumaya though fairly sparsely populated, at least with mortals. The area boasts a lot of livestock. This is fairly normal for the County of Filipa.
The Schnocneg Plains is the headquarters and training area for the famed the Schnocneg Regiment.
Government
The realm is ruled by a Baron of House Carbow, with patriarchal hereditary succession.
The Barony is a vassal state and the gnome Baron of Schnocneg Plains ultimately bends the knee to the human Count of Filipa. That said, the Baron is given a lot of autonomy to run the realm as he sees fit.
Defences
There is one modest castle and a few walled villages but structures, defensive or otherwise are pretty light here and most of the people here try to stay mobile (along with their roving deer).
Industry & Trade
The area sells reindeer sausage, Reindeer cheese, but the main export is reindeer trained to carry riders and pull carts and sleighs.
Reindeer are trained elsewhere in Fumaya, but all combat trained reindeer are trained here.
A lot of gnome warriors are trained here, whether or not they are affiliated with House Carbow. Not just reindeer riders, but infantry too.
Assets
The main asset is the herd of reindeer, many of them well-trained or in the process of being trained.
History
The area was posthumously named after the honorable Sir Schnocneg the Reindeer Knight.
The realm was informally the base for training reindeer cavalry long before Schnoncneg was knighted and was associated with reindeer herding and riding well before Schnocneg militarized the practice and in the process ended up encouraging many gnomes to resettle here, pushing reindeer herding from a human dominated trade into a gnome dominated trade, at least in Fumaya.

Geography
Mostly very lightly forested plains, leaning towards evergreen trees over deciduous trees.
Climate
On the cooler side of temperate with wet springs, hot summers and very cold winters.
Natural Resources
The area has some adequate farms and pasture land but nothing to boast about. Most of the area is roaming grounds for reindeer herders.
